Hawaiian Cows

Another new landscape piece. These cows are based on a photo I took over a decade ago driving around the Big Island in Hawaii by myself for a few days. Just over the cliff is the ocean.

Landscape diversion

I grew up down the street from one of the most beautiful views of farmland I've ever seen. My parents have always especially loved it; my father took a wonderful panoramic photo of it that I keep, and they bought a lovely painting a local woman had made at the spot. Most of my work is abstract and I don't do many pieces based on real images, but it was nice to see such a special place come to life in the fabric.
